Danger in Reiki. 2

Reiki is simple and because of that it is easy to think that it is not really very effective. But it is and much more than we can understand. A seemingly trivial act can change the course of world history. A misplaced word or action, especially in a time of crisis can upset the balance of health and well-being of a person. We never know the results of our actions in full. Intention, the great excuse of mistakes, is important but the bullet that drives a hole through someone's brain kills them just as well even if your intention was to miss.

When we give Reiki, we give Reiki for the best outcome, not for a specific result; we don't know the full picture ... See my earlier posting on Beethoven.

So the first danger of Reiki is trying to force a result. You can make things happen in the way you feel they should. But are you confident enough that you can see what is right? Give your treatment without judgement, without trying. Let that part of us that is part of whatever there is, sort it out. Offer it up.

I have had people come to me really worried because someone who gave them a treatment told them that there was something wrong with their heart chakra. To them it meant something wrong with their heart.
"Oh God! I only went in to relax. Now I have this to worry about!"
One lady told me that she had been informed by a Reiki Master (oh I do dislike that term) that she had a black demon on her shoulder and it was due to her past life and her Reiki master had to wrestle it off.

So the second danger is frightening people. We don't diagnose (we don't know). We don't lay our trip on others. We just give treatments. Then let go.

We live in an illusionary world of our own creation. We don't need other's stuff to confuse us even more.

Next Blog we will look at something serious. That can really damage your health, as they say on the packet ... YOU need to know.
